THE WINNERS OF THE 2023 SMART WFM AUSTRALIAN BUSINESS BOOK AWARDS ANNOUNCED

THE WINNERS OF THE 2023 SMART WFM AUSTRALIAN BUSINESS BOOK AWARDS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED….

Last night we had the winners ceremony for the 2023 ABBAs – announcing the 10 category finalists and winners as well as the “Cover of the Year” and the “2023 Book of the Year”. A truly amazing collection of books were entered, representing the quality of Australian Authors and the Australian publishing industry overall.

The recording from last night will be getting posted today – but if you’d like to check out the finalists for each category and the winners – here’s the link – https://www.businessbookawards.com.au/2023-winners/.

A giant shout out to everyone who entered. It’s so hard to work through the judging process when the quality of the books entered is so high.

And a big thank you to our team of highly committed and experienced judges. The judging process is a huge operation, managed extraordinarily well by Anna Clemann.

The Smart WFM team have been our naming rights sponsor for 4 years now. Without the commitment and support from Jarrod McGrath and Michelle Mcgrath the awards would not be as successful as they are. Thank you so much.

The ABBA’s are not for profit. Everyone involved does so voluntarily. Any excess funds raised are donated to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. This year we were able to write a cheque for $15,000. This brings our total commitment to ILF since starting the ABBA’s to $60,000. Now the $100,000 mark is within site.

As a co-founder of the awards, I’m so humbled and proud of how they have grown and evolved. Celebrating and acknowledging Australian non fiction authors is so important and providing a platform to recognise excellence in the writing and publishing space is vital to help the industry and Australian Authors to grow and develop.

Here’s to the 2024 Smart WFM Australian Business Book Awards. If you’d like to be involved as a sponsor, volunteering in some way, judging, media or any other role, please drop me a line.

Cheers,
Andrew
