Recognising Australian Non Fiction Authors.
The Awards Are Entering Their Sixth Year And Keep Going From Strength To Strength.
In 2019, I joined forces with Michael Hanrahan, the founder of Publish Central to start a national business book awards to help recognise Australian non-fiction authors. The Australian Business Book Awards were formed and they have grown to become an important feature for the publishing industry.
The awards are open to all non fiction authors who publish within a specific year. We have a team of almost 50 judges from around Australia who all volunteer their time and their professional knowledge to review each book entered. The awards culminate into category finalists and then winners, across thirteen specific areas, with a final book of the year also being awarded.
These awards are acknowledged as being both highly credible and significant for Australian authors. Entries come from both self published authors and traditional publishers.
The Australian Business Book Awards are not for profit. In the three years since the awards began, we have been able to donate over $60,000 to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
