Kate Christie is a great example of what happens when a book becomes part of a strategic direction to build a business as well as a new way of life.

Kate moved from a career in law into productivity, time management, speaking, coaching and now personal development. Her books have not just shared her ideas, they have helped build her authority, open doors and create opportunities.

This is the real business of being an author.

A good book gives people a tangible demonstration of what you know. A great book goes further. It shows your thinking, your discipline, your expertise and your ability to help a specific audience solve a specific problem.

Kate is very clear about this. Without her books, she says she would not have the speaking career she has today. She would not have as many coaching clients. Her books sit at the centre of her business because they build trust before a conversation even begins.

That is the point so many of my authors miss focus on, the book is a credibility tool, a positioning asset and a commercial platform.

Kate Christie’s author journey reminds us that when a book is written with purpose and leveraged properly, it can become one of the most powerful business assets you will ever create.
